The Lone Wolf Still Lived - Chapter Five
Gendry doesn’t recognize her, not at first. She’s grown into her face (not too long anymore, not too gaunt) and her hair tumbles past her shoulders in a knotted mess. She’s still small, but assassin aren’t typically known for their size, and he’s sworn to defend the Queen in the North at all costs, and it’s instinct that drives his hammer up in a block. She’s a slip of a thing, and easily maneuvers under his defenses, leaves a long, narrow gash up his side. But in the end, he outweighs her more than two stones, and bears her to the ground with his weight as her chains.
It isn’t until Lady Sansa screams, “No! Stop!” that recognition cuts through the adrenaline and bloodlust of battle hazing over his perception. He recognizes that flinty look in the assassin’s grey eyes.
His hammer slips from his slack fingers for the first time since he took up service to the Queen in the North.
gigi-tastic asked you: Could you write a fic with Arya and Dany meeting and being awesome?Daenerys and her third of the army were making good time. Jorah and Grey Worm were leading the others for a three-pronged attack on Kings Landing at first light in two day’s time. She rode to the percussion of armor clanking and thousands of men’s feet beating a rhythm into the dirt as they trailed behind her.
In the distance and to the right of the wood pass, Dany spotted four men surrounding a small boy. She altered course immediately. She watched with no small amount of surprise and amusement as the thin child moved his narrow blade with learned finesse, gutting a tall burly man who got too close and then leaping over his fallen frame to take out the eye of the next. There’s a blood curdling scream as the second man fell to his knees clutching his face. The remaining two turned as they heard them coming, scampering off leaving the third still dazed with pain. Daenerys gestured with her hand and watched as two spears imbedded themselves in the fleeing men’s backs. Soon the third was in her solders’ grasp.
Dany dismounted from her horse and approached the kneeling man. His arms were held tight behind his back, his left eye hanging grotesquely against his cheek. With a clean red arc the man fell dead in front of her. She looked down at him disdainfully as she wiped her blade on her trousers. She turned to see the child had risen to her feet; Dany may have been fooled from a distance but not this close, not close enough to see the softness in her jaw and the delicate fingers gripping the small sword. Dany eyed the blade, stained red and bleeding upon the disturbed earth. She wished she would drop it, her men would not hesitate to kill her if she stepped too close with it unsheathed.
“What is your name girl?”
Dany watched the girl’s knuckles go white around the hilt as she dipped into a curtsey, "Arya Snow-“ Dany smirked. She’d received a thorough education from her tutors about the Seven Kingdoms as a child, and what she hadn’t learned then she’d learned from Jorah during the many long hours at sea. She knew Snow was the name given to bastards from the North. She also knew that this girl curtseyed far too well for a bastard. She was a noble of the North, probably afraid Dany would see her as a threat or pawn. Unfortunately she wasn’t entirely wrong. ”-And you’re the lost Targaryen heir.“
More Arya and Gendry! This one is complete fluff. Enjoy!
It was late when Arya arrived. She hurried through the door and slammed it shut behind her. Gendry sat in bed, his eyes half closed and a candle burning beside his bed.
Arya grinned and dumped her bag on the floor hurriedly. She crawled across the sheets and into his lap, straddling his hips.
“Hello.” Gendry laughed, wrapping two hands around her waist. Arya kissed him with a smile in the corner of her mouth. Suddenly, she pulled away and leaned over the side of the bed.
“Wait.” She grabbed her bag and dumped it into her lap. “I brought food.”
Gendry chuckled again as she reached for a yellow pear, biting into it.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” Juice ran down her chin. “I just can’t stop eating. I’m so hungry all the time.” Arya offered the pear to Gendry, who took a small bite. He reached up and gently unlaced the front of her tunic.
“Can I see again?” He whispered softly. Arya nodded slowly and pulled the fabric over her head. Gendry sighed quietly and ran one finger down the skin of her bare side. He rested a hand on the small bump of her stomach. With both hands, he encircled it.
“Have you told anyone yet?” He asked. Arya sighed and shook her head reluctantly.
“Why not?” He whispered. “They’re going to find out eventually. You can’t hide it forever, Arya.”
She chewed her lip anxiously and climbed off him to lie on the bed beside him. From the side, Gendry could see the bulge of her stomach even more clearly.
“I’m sorry.” He said. “I didn’t mean to sound angry.” He kissed her bellybutton and felt Arya shiver underneath him as he brushed his lips across her skin from hips to breast. When he turned to look at her, resting his chin on her chest, she smiled and stroked his hair tenderly.
“I only meant it for your sake.” Gendry continued. “You should tell them soon, or they’ll be angry when they find out.” Arya met his gaze and then nodded slowly.
“You’re right.” She admitted. “I should tell them.”
That’s right folks, it’s two in one tonight. I’m on a role. I just found this in my old notebook and felt like posting it. Also just wanted y’all to know that I’ve posted all of this on my fanfiction.net account http://www.fanfiction.net/~themadmuggle12
You guys owe me one. I’m expecting some excellent Gendry x Arya fluff to drown in this week.
Note: I might do a few of these. Basically things that happen in a world where Arya never ran away from the Brotherhood.
Being together all the time allowed them to know each other’s secrets and each other’s deepest shames. Gendry watched with amusement in his eyes as Arya grew into her looks and began rejecting various suitors in that rough way of hers. He noticed the occasional blemish on her otherwise perfect skin, the way her thick raven hair suddenly tumbled past her shoulders, the lean build of her body, the way her voice became raspy as the years went by.

prompt fill for…you know what i can’t remember who it was but it was something about arya blindfolding gendry
Gendry guessed this must have been Arya’s third cup of wine, judging by the flushed color of her cheeks and her easy laughs. He looked at his own cup of ale distastefully, knowing it was his third. He leaned back on his chair, stretching his long legs out in front of him and continued observing Arya the way he had been all night. All the men in the room wanted a dance with her, including the man whose wedding it was. Gendry laughed to himself the moment a boy not much older than Arya asked for a dance. He had been expecting her to reject the boy’s offer and was unpleasantly surprised when she didn’t. She had smiled that brilliant smile of hers and taken his hand, the sway of her silver dress behind her.
